Where people suggest t6j as a tc for park flyer but Futaba clearly stated it is a full range tx? I have yet to test on a plane or glider. So far tested on boat without any problem at all.

Yes, it is full range Tx/Rx system.

I like the built in antenna system, i can just throw it into my car boot without fearing of breaking any antenna, unlike my other std style TX

I searched for range specification all over internet and didn`t find nothing about this rc. So I made a ground test both reciever and transmiter at hand level, visual line, and I managed to get some signal at 1.6 km / 1 mile. And this was just quick dirty testing, I will do some additional testing in future. In air range should be even more.

This a very good buy. I think people just get confused with FHSS as a park flying only. I am happy with the design

There are two techniques DSSS and FHSS. Most remotes are one or another, but FASST remotes is a hybrid between the two, it`s recievers are also a little bit more sensitive from what I read. This doesn`t mean they are xyz times better.

Also doesn`t mean that FHSS is seriously inferior or "park flyer only". Most important rule is this: as long there is a visual line (and a clear fresnel zone http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fresnel_zone ) between tx and rx there should be NO problem. For some brutal fpv ranges, you need an amp and directional antenna anyway, doesn`t matter if you are fasst or fhss.

i like the fact that i can customize the use of the switches like more ex models. i can change the flap to be controlled by switch A,B or D or the variable knob.

only downside to this tx is that the variable knob is too demn inaccessible.

i have my own 4 x AA rechargeable batteries but no wall charger. can anyone tell me what charging current I should charge them at since i do not own a quick wall charger and i have to use my rc batt charger which i can set to nimh/nicd?

                            0.5-1c should be safe.

So for 2000 mah battery use 500-1000 ma. Slower charging (not too slow) is better for battery.

I use eneloop they work great
