    Emergency Xtal Rescue

Has anyone thought of this idea? To have a reserve Xtal on Rx & Tx. I was thinking about it and have a rough idea of what needs to be done. Only problem is...I am not very sure about electronics.

The Rx needs a Aux servo to switch to fail safe preset and trigger to alternate cyrstal in an event of interference.

So the Pilot must switch manually on his Tx to correspond to the same freq. At least there is an option to regain control of the aircaft if the interference prolongs.

What do you think...will it work?

    Well..

chances are it might be very hard if it's based on Crystal clocks..
Coz you need to reset both tx n rx if u chaneg the Crystal clocks..

Else the outcome might not be so predictable..
Once both Crystals are changed they might take a few secs to init
and search for each other too..

So the best is something not based on Crystal.
I think the one jet hobby selling no need use crystal..

      Hi

What about using this RX instead? It claims it support Master Control Recognition Technology.

This is what it mention on the website:

When transmitters are sharing the same manufacturer, model and channel, the function of Master Control Recognition can be degraded.

CRX-M7 has the technology to recognize the Master transmitter among other transmitters sharing the same RF channel to prevent the degrading.

For example, when two or more people use different transmitters through the same RF channel, the CRX-M7can be programmed to recognize the master transmitter.

      Here is the website:

Jet Hobby do sell this at around S$85.00 It is from Korean.

eh, the M7 and the M8 mentioned in sky technology (gold is mentioned for M8 but at jethobby its M7)

Has anyone tried this...is it any good?
        thanks
