JR11X ...first impression

My trusty JR3810 has served me well for over 15 years, seen 2 lithium button battery change as well as upgraded from FM Synthised module to 2.4g module. ...but sadly it is lacking in several areas: limited model memories (only 10) limited swash selection for heli (Don't have 140 CCPM) and a few others.

...Time for a Upgrade to a new model ! ...waited and waited for the A9 (Still haven't come!) ...considering a second-hand 9Xii

Went to have a chat with Ammo at RCS and saw this beauty ! ...grabbed it when he said it was for sale !

Theres a grippy rubber/plastic material at the side that should prevent any slippage during use. The menu screen has a 'smilie look' instead of the usual rectangle screen.

I just love the Power on/off switch ! ...again, something different from the usual.

The shoulders has a very uncluttered look and feel, like the slender and sexy shoulders of a beautiful lady when I caress her !

The Tx feel alot slimmer than the JR3810 and is abit heavier, the depression on the back really accomodate my big hands, it feels like holding a top end DSLR with full motor winder

I got the module based version so that I can swap out to my old Assan for the majority of my models ...I know you're asking "why are you putting Assan in a high end radio ?" ...remember one of the main reason for this upgrade is the 30 models memories (Unlimited in this case due to the SD card slot) ...if I stick to original JR Rx, I'll 'POK KAI' by he time I outfit 1/4 of my hangar !!!
I understand that a pure JR DSMj version is available just like the 9XII

This Tx has an antenna slot for legacy FM modulation for those who don't believe in 2.4g

Switching on the pwr really makes it looks like the Cyclons in BSG !

Green means Tx is happy and ready to go, select "RF off" and it turn into a sinisiter Red and angry Cyclon ...select "RF on" and it turns into a 2.4g transmissive Cyclon.

I checked out the glider menu first ! ...quite impressive, it has 5 independent flight modes:

1) Cruise mode
2) Speed mode
3) Themal mode
4) Launch mode
5) Landing mode

Trying to figure these out later tonight.

Yup ! ...Not a problem for me as I don't have any Spektrum DSM2 stuff, I'm planning on DSM J for really expensive or really dangerous models.
Assan V2 for all the rest (Meaning run of the mill, day to day, sit on it, nevermind models)

However I can see how someone with loads of DSM2 Rx will have a problem, either to buy an additional DSM2 module (Providing it'll work) or wait for JR to release the DSM2 version.

Hi Vincent, thanks for that 9303 guide, seems to be many similarities between the 2 Tx.
As I've mentioned in my first post, coming from the 3810, the features set for me is more than a little impressive to say the least.

Damn nice... You need to have a spotlight t home and a dedicated display case for it.

The only case I'll be getting for it is a Tx carrying case ! ...Tx are meant to be used and not kept NIB unlike models !
