    Navigation lights update

For those who have expressed interest in the navigation lights I have posted before, I have not forgotten. I have received the batch of PCBs and all the SMT components already and I am about to solder the first board this weekend and test it on my heli.

For your information. The board itself will weigh no more than 15 grams, and it is the size smaller than an SD card. The exact dimensions will be 23mm x 28mm x 12mm.

There is one bad news, I am about to ship all my stuff back to Singapore in a container. and you may not get it so soon. If you really want it fast, i can mail the PCB, all SMT components together with pre-programmed PIC chip soldered on board to you at cost+postagel. If not, you may have to wait until end June or early July to get me. Please let me know.

    New update

The weekend was spent cleaning the house, cooking and laundry . Anyway, wasn't much of a weekend after having hangovers of Friday night

Well, i did manage to work on the Navlight board.

1 - soldering the SOIC pic12C508A chip to the PCB.
2 - soldering external leads to the PCB
3 - perform in circuit programming
    4 - unsoldering the leads
5 - applying flux to the rest of the PCB and layout the rest of the components
6 - soldering the rest of the components
7 - cleaning the flux from the PCB
    8 - checking soldered connections

Yep, The first NAVlight board is produced
But hor, when I plug it into RX, it exploded ...Just kidding..

Either tonight or tomorrow night I will do a detailed circuit test first before connecting it to the RX.

I don't know the exact weight after soldering because I don't have a digital scale on hand. Will try to weight it at the post office after everything is tested out!!!
