    LED Strip for night flying

Remote Control 30cm 12V RGB Flashing 5050 SMD LED Strip

    Hi guys,

I'm thinking of using something like this hooked up directly to my 3S Lipo which will be 11.1V to 12.6V range. Will it work?
Any similar product at Sim Lim Tower?
    Thanks!

        Yes. Check out this video.

The easystar uses your 'strips' I think.

You plug the lights into the balancer tab on the batts. It's simple and doesn't add much weight for circuitry. 12v strips would work on 3 cell batts.

Good idea, I'll try that method.
Got to buy the 4 pin female connectors, ribbons and the 12V LED strips from SLT.

                Reporting in...success.
Thanks to all for your help

                My night flying setup:

Platform: Zagi flying wing running on 3S Lipo.

                1. 12V LED Strip 30 cm length 2 pc (1 green, 1 blue) @ S$15 each
                2. 12V LED Strip 5 cm length 4 pc (2 white, 2 green) @ S$5 each
(LEDs purchased at Bell ???? at SLT 3rd floor.)
                3. Female JST connectors 4 pin (for 3S Lipo) 7 pcs (cheap cheap only)
                4. Male JST connectors 4 pin (for 3S Lipo) 6 pcs (cheap cheap only)
Item 3 soldered onto a breadboard.
Item 4 connectors for the LEDs.

                Super bright and very cool.
(Though it is not able to change colour. The RGB type is very expensive at S$60 per 1 m so I did not get it. Also it needs a controller)

The LED lights are warm to the touch, uses a lot of power. But flight endurance is not much affected.
                Will post pictures soon.

How do I add led strips to my fog lights?

lol thats kinda gay. come on its a gradmas car. but if you really want to dork it out you could put a bodey kit and a ladder rack wing on it and look like a retard. oh yea dont forget the fart can so every one can here youans see how gay your 98 buick is. now back to the blue led strip make shure their for 12 volt carfuly tare the light apart and glue them in on the inside of the light and drill a hole big enough to fit the wirs out of the light from the led strip 12v. then sillcone the light back together sillcone the hole you ran the wires out of and tap in to the break light wire and your all set. i would waterproof led strip light get a pair of good lights from a scrap yard to take apart so your car is still driveable while you do the tail lights
