Futaba FF9S - PCM modulation indication blink

I notice the 'PCM' indication on the FF9S at the top right hand corner of the TX display will blink once every 1 minutes. Example: the word 'PCM' will be hightlighted in black for about 1 second. Is this normal?

Search through manual but no indication of this 1 mins hightlighted 1 secs thing

Manual only said if change modulation and didnt cycle pwr, mod ind will blink.

    Thanks

i tried to stare at the LCD for 2 mins and it feels like its forever, no problem with mine.

Does it always happen or after you did some setting changes ??

I have a question too, how low should i allow the batt to go before a charge is require for the 9chp ??
After my first charged, it shows 11.1v, now after 5 hrs of clocking, its show me 9.0v. The voltage seem to drop very fast, e.g. 0.1v in 20-30mins, it is normal ???

Its a Great day, lets fly, crawl, and fight.

It was always like that. Since day 1.
It took me about a month to figure it out. (the 1 minute thing). Any it is very acurate one. Always to the secs will blink.

I usually try to discharge the stock TX Nicd as much as possible. Wait until the TX make noise. 8.5/8 = 1.06V / cell. But the TX quite hot after that. But don't know can do this way or not. I still got no discharger.

Mine also same. 11.1v immdiately after switch on. Then after about 5 secs, it will drop to 11.0v, then every 2-3 mins will drop 0.1v It stabilize abit at about 9.6-10V. The whole charge will last about 1 hr
Don't know should be like that or not.

I also discover the if I let the count down timer run, the mod indication will not blink. Instead every minute the clock countdown the beep will sound. Just discover last night only.

          Thanks

mine does that too...been using mine for the past almost 3yrs++ and no problem...

the stock battery in tip top condition should last at least 1.5hr, coz the discharge rate of the tx is around 270++ma and the stock batt is 700mah...so do the math...

Thanks. But are you referring to the blinking modulation indication or the battery drain?

i didn't do well in maths, what is the formula ???
1.5 hrs ?? Does it means that every 1.5hrs usage we have to charge it again for 15hrs ??
the shop told me after the charge, it can last 15hrs , yap, 15 hrs, er or is it i hear wrongly

From shop info again, he said only need to leave the tx on till the batt call for help once a month. is it true

in perfect world condition, it can only last 700/275=2.5hr...but at that point, batt is already fully flat. Think is more like must charge for 15hr.

many of us change to nimh batt, same size but can last a lot longer per charge.

oh, now i know how to cal the batt. hehe, didn't notice the batt type utill you mention it.

guess i heard wrongly about the 15 hrs thing.
