    Better Lipo Battery?

    Hello.

I have a question: Which Lipo battery brand is better?

From what I have observed, DN batteries tend to bloat quickly.

I heard rumours that TP is losing it's "stand" in the market as one of the top battery brands? Is this true?

Anyway, any advice on what battery brand should I invest in?

lot of budget lipo tt seem good and cheap are coming out.

i going for those budget lipo instead of those branded.

calculate a 3s 2200mah lipo for $30. if the lipo last 50cycles, one cycle oso onli $0.60.

        really?

anyway i was juz assuming at least 50 cycles, so if the budget lipo last 500 cycle, it be 6 cents per flight!

lol that'll be way way cheaper then Nitro and saving the hassle of tuning Engine.

Wat size of lipo are u using??? My DN lipos has been downgraded to use as rx pack or for LED lighting.

If u want to invest in good lipos, I recommend TP. They offer 1 to 1 replacement if ur lipo bloats and 50% off for crash damage lipo.

P.S I'm not a vendor, just a happy TP lipo end user. Changed two sets of TP lipo already, FOC.

If u looking for high end lipo, go for Neu Energy lipo, they are rated for 30C continuous discharge and 60C burst discharge. The charging rate is 5C!!! Now you can charge ur packs in mins!!! But u need to find a charge that is capable to do that.

Oh Gosh.....5C zzzzzz Will it generate alot of heat to the batts?
Charger need to have big fans i assume.

Nowadays the charging current is going higher and higher.
Wondering if there's upcoming fuel cell for Hobbist.

I was doing some reading the other day and found that some lipos can last up to 500 cycles. Probably they are talking about low output lipos???

This is just one of the many links that says lipo can be used up to 500 cycles. But I guess if the lipo is pushed hard, it probably can't last till 500 cycles. And lipos will degrade whether or not they are new and storage life is probably up to 3 years only. Lipos are so $$$...

One newbie question. I just assembled a mini titan, what are the type of lipo batt to get? How to match batt to the type of motor used? Any links to read up? I intend to do scale flying eventually (after I learn to fly), no 3D at all.

actually lipo lifespan is depand on how hard
you push it into .the worst is overdischarge, for example a normal 3cell lipo..we just use it to light up a diod buld..i thing it really make sence can go up to 500 cycles . another example are
phone lipo ..i already using my hp more than 3 years with the stock lipo battery .i charge it every 3 days..3 year already make 365 cycles ,,the battery inside the phone still in good condition i
thinkstill can last for another year
                          I believe i can fly ....
