    GWS ICS480 with 3S LiPo?

    Can a GWS ICS480 ESC (rated 6.0 - 9.6V) take a 3S LiPo (11.1V)?
For some people it's important to show what they have, for others it's sufficient to know that they have it.

Wah.....noted. Think I'll not use 3S1P then. Too dangerous.

even ics300 can be use with 3s, so the 480 confirm can take 3s.

for 3s better to use eps400+heatsink, but then it will be quite heavy liao...my old eps400 which has already suffered badly for 200+min on 2s has already run on 3s+d gear+1170 for over 70mins and it is still running...so maybe you can try and see if u like it or not loh...in the long term will probably shorten the lifespan of the motor, but for a few minutes, don't think can do much harm...
