A little help on DX6i

Mates with knowledge on Spektrum tx,

A friend bought a Spektrum dx6i couple days ago in mode 1. Soon realises himself mode 2 suits him better. Is it possible to switch modes manually? Is any warranty void whatsoever? Bought from LHS, Jh..

Or should he just sell away the tx and get another in mode 2...
Any input greatly appreciated..

Can switch to mode 2, but you also need to do some physical relocation of the internal component. I did that to my Dx6i, but it was from mode2 to mode1. But do note, it will void your warranty. So do it at your own risk.

why not ... ask if anyone has a mode2 and dont like it , prefers mode 1 , switch it with him

Had any luck yet.

If not i'll convert it for you. It doesn;t void the warranty as this reciever allows you to take the back off to adjust the stick tennsion. Once the back is off it shouldn't be a problem as both the gimvbal assemblies are identical.
Let me know if you want it doing and i'll double check on my freinds DX6i first

I've just taken the back off a DX6i and they can be converted quite easily.

In fact the whole stick assembly can be swapped with each other. The only thing i think maybe a problem is one of the cables ( 3 wires) from the throttle potentiometer may be a little short but thats quite striaght forward to extend with the correct gauge wire.
