    Feigao rx

    Hi guys,

I just bought the feigao 6ch rx, with the tx and rx crystal.. Was told that it was a universal shift.. so it doesnt matter if its futaba, jr, hitec wadever...

When i plug the feigao tx crystal into the my hitec eclipse tx and the rx crtstal into the rx, all the thing does to the servo is glitch them..
    1) tried using hitec crystal in rx with hitec tx crystal.. no signal (servos not even moving)
    2) tried swapping tx and rx crystal.. feigao rx crystal goes into hitec tx, feigao tx crystal goes into rx.. no signal at all..

I'm lost and furious! No matter wad i try.. it does not help..
I'm just wondering if it could be the single or double conversion thing.. Can anyone enlighten me on wad these mean?

Has anyone experienced this prob before? Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Jon

The first thing that comes to mind is the freq of the RX is it correct? I know its sill but knowing Chan ..you never know what has been done.

alos I had arx that was always glichy ...when ever it moved.. so tesed out the bird with the rx seperate from it and it was fine. but put it it on the bird ...glich but wored out the prob ..glichy rx somting wasnt right on the board

u mean the if its the correct band?
Then yes, the rx, and crystals are all of 72Mhz band

Is it true that it doesnt matter which shift u are using? i'm suspecting the crystals are the ones at fault... either the shift thing or the conversion thing

        Feigao Rx

        Hi,
I know that there is a slide switch hidden inside the Crystal chamber.
Pull out the Crystal and then you can see a slide switch. Try to slide the other way and then test your radio again.
        Good luck

          Thanks Vifo

Did exactly as u said, and tried every possible combinations.. with hitec crstals also... just doesn't wan to work.. sigh..

Could it be my hitec eclipse?
Anyone on feigao rx with the eclipse?

Is your Tx set to pcm mode?
Is the polarity of the servo and battery leads correct?
Are the crystals single conversion crystals?

              Bon,

Check that the Feigao TX crystal is plugged into the TX
and the RX crystal is plugged into the RX..

lolz.. first mistake i made when i started out! hahaha..
Also, the switch does matter.. try switching the switch..
As long as both of them are same band and also in 72mhz..
              Should be no prob...

U have to switch shift to try..
Think jr n futaba are positive and Hitec is negative?
              not sure..

                Hey Bon,

I'm using 72Mhz in my Eclipse too. Try the shift function on the TX. Beacuse it's 72 Mhz band, there is a +ve and -shift differentiation and ofcourse turn off the PCM mode, I don't think FGs are PCMs.

Another thing is not sure if the FG tx crystals will work on the Eclipse. I usually use Hitec crystals in my Eclipse and in the rx I use crystals of the rx manufacturer. Problem in doing this is getting crystals of similar frequencies (Tx and Rx) for the two brands.

One solution I had done is to get the synthesizer module for my TX, now I can just dial in any 72 Mhz band.

The shift function is on your TX, in the same menu where you turn on and off the PCM mode.

Wah judging from your explanation, the Hitec Eclipse had the ability to switch bt postive and negative shift? Meaning it can use all kind of rx?

The only Ts currently on the mid-range that can't use all sorts of rx maybe the multiplex. Eclipse, RD-6K, 9CHP, 9X, 9Z, 10X, all have PCM, PPM + or PPM-

For some Frequencies, there's problems with shifts in PPM modulation. Commmonly there's no shifts in 35Mhz..... [prob that's why all the Sanwas in SG are 35? ]

                          Hi Mike,

Yes, I can use JR and Futaba rx on my Eclipse with the shift function. But this is effectively only for 72 Mhz band where the there are different shifts. That's why you will need to specify the make of your TX when ordering RX from States, where only 72 MHz is allowed.

In the case of PCM, each manufacturer has their own proprietary codings and from the best of my knowleged TX and RX of different makes cannot be mixed.

Thanks for all the help guys, but i've tried everything as u all have said but it just doesnt wan to work.
Han, i think u're right, its probably the FG tx crystal not compatible with hitec.
I've just heard from ma kuang just now that we can use futaba crystal in the feigao, but not the hitec crystals. Do u all think there is any diff in performance if i buy another futaba crystal instead of using the feigao crystal? would it be better?
Doug, the one u mentioned always getting glitches when its on ur heli, is it a feigao crystal?

                            Thanks

                              Hi Bon,

if we can meet up, you can try out my synthesizer module to see if it works with your FG rx.
