Review: Corona 2.4G on Futaba 3PK

Juz got my hands on a Corona 2.4G for my Futaba 3pk

    http://www.daddyhobby.com/gallery/da...na_2_4G_rx.JPG

    First glance
Module: Not exactly Futaba quality. I had to use a pen knife to scrape off the injection moulding left over.
Receiver: Small and light, weighting at abt 7g, wrap around in heatshrink and paper. 1 Antenna measuring 15cm. Unlike the corona rx i've seen, the antenna is thicker and stiffer.

    Installation
Module: Crap! Didn't turn on at all. LED never lit up. Thought i got a lemon. Found out the femal pins on the the module was not in contact with my 3pk male pins. Had to stuck a piece of Credit Card at the edge just to make enough contact.
Receiver: Binding was very smilar to XPS. Just need to swtich off the Rx and module before it works. Following the manual which can be found online was pretty straight forward.

    Cons
    1) The binding of the Rx is quite troublesome if you have more then 1 Rx. It seems that you have to bind all the Rx together or else it will just bind with the last Rx you used.
    2) Bad workmanship. Casing fits nicely but the pod for the pins needs improvement.

    Pros:
    1) The price obviously.
    2) Rx is small and light. (Too bad only comes with 8ch Rx)

Yes from the corona website its suppose to be compatible with Hitec and Futaba Tx.

Some guys in RC Group mentioned suppose to be able to bind with Spektrum DSM2. As the signal is not encrypted like the XPS

i tried on my 9c too. flying my FII with 6 channels. i realise that when i push full down elevator with right aileron my motor will spin, not critical but very annoying!!!.
my 2.4rx is a trial set from corona and it has dual antenna instead of the new batch which has one. now waiting for hc to restock the rx. so far the flying response has been good, more sensitive than my usual FM rx, i have to decrease the exp of the servo to get use to the new sensitivity.
