    Mouting magnets: Friend or Foe

Nowadays... mounting magnets are pretty popular in kits... but while fixing one on, i realized something.

The magnetism from some of these babies are extremely strong. And it's a know fact that magnetism and static charges are not very friendly to printed circuit boards (P.C.B) aka, whatever electronics we have on board.

My question is, does the mounting magnet affect performance of the electronics on board? for example the ESC or Rx?

if it does, what can we do to prevent it?

    thanks

The magnets are strong but I don't think the reach of their magnetic field is that far. So usually if you mount at the canopy, it might be too far from the other components to really have any adverse effect. Only maybe when moving them around (installing or taking out), be careful not to brush too close to the magnets?
