Pls help - Where to send old Futaba tx for repair?

I'm a newbie and inherited a Futaba FF7 (FP-T7UPS) tx from a relative. It has served me well for a few months but is beginning to go on the blink - ie sometimes it can't be turned on, or it shows low batt when batt is full.

I believe that it may be too old for the distributors to repair. Is there any 3rd party who repairs old tx's? Or should I send it back to the dealers?

Any advise/help will be greatly appreciated.
