Spektrum DX7 using GP Rechargeable Batteries?

Is it possible to use AA GP reachageable NIMH batts on this TX?
I use them for my esky TX but dont want them to go to waste aft i switch helis.

i heard in rr that spektrum makes them but i cnt seem to find it in LHS

got battery trays in all shapes and sizes.

i think rotor may have the jr ones.. it shld be the same..

if not, buy a hitech one ... and diy a connector using those servo tabs. careful abt the polarity though

I have a Hitec battery tray.. But cant fit.. Worse comes to worst i'll have to search for it at SLT.. Anyone using DX7 with other types of battery holder that could fit?

You can go Rotor to get the tray. It the same tray as JR. If you worry cant fit in, you can bring along your Dx7 along to compare before you buy.

im not sure
you should bring ur tx along and try

actually its better to use the battery pack cos the contacts are much more secure compared to AA which can move around
im sure noone wants their tx to suddenly restart lolz

try le can tell us how long ur tx last?

Eh.. If im not wrong, the Tx batt packs are also AA batteries soldered together.. That is y its called packs.. If i cant find the battery holder, i think i'll take a trip down to SLT and get the connector for the batt to Tx and i'll solder the AA batteries myself..

i was using a modded hitech one leh in my 9x2 before i switched over to Lipo.. it tight but can still squeeze it in..

i think you should try the one for jr at rotor first
the outer case is the same after all

battery in battery packs do not have the little thing sticking out on the positive end. they're flat for easy soldering and a more uniform shape.

i think if you solder it then it defeats the purpose of having a battery box coz the whole point of it is so that you can remove the batteries piece by piece

if ur gna do tt then might as well get another spare battery pack

dun think nimh lasts v long.. i was using 2700s..for my 9x2 typically charge once a week.. so maybe 5minx4flightsx4days = 80min. plus some time sim and maintence time.

so maybe 100++min altogther? btw i used charge them when below 10v

eh...ur tx how mani batts ar?
maybe u overdischarge it too often den capacity go down?
