    Question on brushless system

Hi, needed some info about brushless motor and it ESC.

Is it possible for the brushless system to operate at slower speed? For example half throttle to get lower speed for a long time about 15 min if the battery could last. Will it cook up the ESC as compare to the conventional brush type which might overheat. Thanks!

yep, you can of course limit the speed. it can be done using several methods.
First, limit the throttle by programming the esc (ESC must have this feature).
Otherwise, use epa (end point adjustment) on your tx on the throttle channel.

No problem with overheating unless you are drawing excessive amps. Do check the amp draw before attempting prolonged flights to avoid throttle cuts/glitches/lockouts, which may not turn out nice.

There may be other ways of doing this of course. but i usually use my Tx EPA, otherwise, i think it would be wiser to control the speed using your thumb instead, just in case you needed a last minute burst of power for some reason or another.
