    shortening of servo wire

    Hi guys,

read an article in extreme heli about shortening of excess wire to reduce resistance...

has anyone tried shorthening wire to reduce electrical resistance...

the other thing is your wiring will look alot neater as well...

on the other hand also read somewhere that (i think is esc wire can't be shorten)..cause more problem..

But here I'm talking about servor wire and maybe GYRO wire(not sure if this wire can be shorten..)

    please share your views..

    thanks
    RM

the servo wires are pulse signals at low frequencies(50-60Hz), they shouldn't pose much of a problem. Wire lengths have more effect on higher frequencies like RF signals of Tx and Rx.

Shortening of servo wires does reduce electrical resistance but a bad solder joint will create even more resistance which might interfere with the pulse signals. So do some practice until you can do a good solder joint before you try it on servos, gyros or ESCs.

thanks for the input.. yes agree.. with good soldering... thats why must change the connecter instead of opening the servo case.. even from the write up it did point this out...

      cheers
