RF Module burnt, should I 2.4 ghz?

Today when i turned on my TX, i realized that my RF module has stopped functioning... I guess its time is up, come to think of it, my 72 MHZ RF module was a gift from James (electronics moderator) when i started hobby. it has served me a good 2 years, and many more years when it was used by James.
Anyway, thats besides the point, now that i need a new one... should i extremize my setup? Or just get a replacement RF module?

Where is the best place to get a extreme module + RX combo?
