trex 700/ 12mm main shaft swash leveller. carbon type $22 only new
I use it to prevent power overload my ESC. On my Zap400, I use UBEC because I use 3 digital servo & 1 HS81. Without UBEC, my ESC will cut off due to the power drawn.
i think bec and ubec means the same. The U should stand for Universal.
Wat u wanna look out for is how much the bec can step down. Normal BEC can take 2-3s lipo abt 8.4-12.6v to 5-6v. The really expensive ones can step down 2-10s lipo tp 5-6v.
5-6v being the operating voltage for all the on board electronic eg servo, gyro, rx, LED, retracts
Some ppl use more then 1 bec for eg. gyro only max of 5v but servo can go up to 6v for faster response
hi, just to share. as confirmed by broe johndyl, i'm using my spare old stock brushed esc acting as external bec wic has 2a5v. u can get those 3a ubec if u need more but mine juz work fine to cool down my esc...
