Need some advice on 9 Channel TX for Heli

Hi folks,
this may sound weird but I was wondering if a Futaba 9 channel TX (heli) will work if I use it on a RC truck?

I have no knowledge of heli/plane RC hobby so any help will be much appreciated.

Not sure why there is a difference between heli radio txs and aeroplane radio txs too. Some advice on this would be great too.
