Hi, how do I tell what frequency my radio is using? I only see the module is "29MHz"....

there should be a place where a crystal is inserted... or what frequency your rx is now... your tx should then be the same frequency... else they would not work together

go look at the box that contain your radio set when you bought it, there is a sticker there...
