Stick mode 2 JR9XII

I m unable to change the stick mode of the JR 9XII from mode 1 to mode 2 because there isn't a menu for the selection. I don't know and the manual that came with the radio is in Japanese!

Found the following links but b4 I try this, can anyone here verify if the steps taken below can be applied to the JR 9XII radio?

This is based on the 9X but the 9X II should work the same.

Press and hold ENT then turn on the TX. You will go into the service menu. Go to STICK MOD.

Did that press and hold 'Ent' and turn on radio. STICK Mod is not display or missing!

A relative brought it back from Japan.

Which is the up/down button,is it the scroll button? Then it doesn't want to work too!

Any advice to enable 'STICK mod' from anyone?

Of courseit doesn't work. Its not the same model. The instruction on the other thread is for the JR X388S.

If its from Japan its probably software-locked to Mode 2.

Any software/hardware to enable mode 2 for the (Japanese version) JR9XII?

no there isn't. If there was I would have made it known to you already. If you find a solution do post it up.

i hav heard from H.S b4, there's this 9x2 from japan, which is locked to mode2. No way to change to other mode as there's no such function inside. This info was gathered bout 8months ago when i was lookin to get a 9x2

In the worst case, do you think just swop the stick wires will work?
I ever considered to get JR8303 mode 2 and modify by this way but never have a chance to do so.
