JR Transmitter / Futaba Receiver True or False

Hi, trying to figure this one out and could sure use some help from those in the know or with experience. For simplicity, I have broken the issue up into a series of True/False. The short question is: whether I can use a futaba ppm receiver with a JR transmitter on 40 mHz.

    1. In general, JR is positive shift and Futaba is negative shift.

    2. BUT only the 29 and 72 mHZ bands are made with positive or negative shifts. All other frequency bands (e.g. 35, 40, 36 etc) do not have any different shifts.

    3. So accordingly, apart from 29 and 72 mHZ bands, JR and Futaba TX and RXs are compatible in FM (PPm) mode.

I know that the above applies only to the single conversion FM band, but is this understanding correct? Also, I'm not expecting proprietry technologies such as JR's BW + C to work.

    Help?

if i'm not wrong, only 72mhz has + & - shifts, the rest no shifts

      Tx shift

29, 40, 72Mhz rx should either be +ve or -ve shift
Some Rx has auto shift select feature, some with manual switch select.

If you own a Feigau Rx, will see shift selector switch on the Rx for 29 and 40Mhz. For 72Mhz, I have to indicate JR or Futaba in my order for GWS Rx.
My M7 72Mhz Rx has shift auto select feature.

Thanks guys...... but even here, there seems to be some divergence of opinions.

Mebbe I'm hoping for a definitive answer that is just be too elusive!
