    ESC or BL motor problem?

Hi all.My TP esc 25A seems to have a problem.I am not realy sure its the esc or motor but my checks seem to indicate the esc.The BL motor seems to have intermittent rotation...(turn abit stop, turn abit stop)..and it gets hot.I check the esc, its also quite warm.power the thng up with my 2slipo. I switch with another esc(hobbywing) and it works fine,Any way to rectify the 25A esc or any suggestions as to what had cause this problem..?

i think(think only hor) ur esc has an internal short between any 2 of the 3 wires.

maybe your battery cannot gives out the required amp or your esc is heating up too hot. maybe could be due to your BL motor as well.

agreed, try it once, under power, and the motor jerk and jerk, not sure about the temp,
stop short, do not want to risk my motor and esc.

              classic failure mode

Your BL ESC is exhibiting classic "single phasing" just like a large 3-phase AC motor. Sorry, but you blew one or two of the phase outputs from your ESC by either accidentally shorting motor leads while on or blowing the FET amp due to too much heat buildup by running on the ground w/out ram air cooling, etc. It has to be the ESC if the motor runs OK with another controller.

Agree with xswamix, one phase signal missing. Did you had this problem after a crashed or it was like this since day 1?

                Happen to my ESC before.

In my case it was poor soldering on some chips.
I have to remove the heat shrink wrap to access to the components and re-solder.

Don't try it unless you know what you are doing.

i thnk it happen after a crash.maybe the motor was still running the prop which cause the esc to be like this..

Well THERE you have it !

A classic case of crash damaged ESC
