Sure u can go for Novak, there's also schulze and nosram. Have you tried any V2s lately? 12turns and below? Is it for pure bashing or competitions? Personally, I'd go for V2s lower turns, that is for competitions. Anyhoo, wat's speed without control. ;)

Well, I've just got a Tamiya Dark Impact and would like to try out a b/l system (motor + ESC) on it. I'm not too keen on spending big $ on it so I was wondering if a new system can be had for less $.

Certainly a Novak 4.5 would be nice, but is there another similarly specced and reliable one out there for less $?

I usually run a 19T Element V2 on my buggies, and they're purely for fun, not racing.
