    How to tell it is single or dual conversion Xtal

    If I have mix the single and dual conversion xtal, how can I tell which is which?? I refer to futaba xtal.

    Put the crystal in the dual conversion receiver. If it works, it's a dual. If not, it's a single. Dual conversion can work in single conversion(but with glitches, tried that once by mistake) but not the other way round(also learnt that in the hard way).

      if it is Hitec crystal, take a look at the label tab.

      For Hitec RX, Green is Single Conversion. Blue is Dual Conversion.
      For Hitec TX, Black.

      For GWS, they also go by color. For Futaba, they mention it in the label tab.

        So DC xtal used on SC will have glitch! that is confirm?
