Hi guys,
I do apologise for the radio silence. I have been real busy this past week.
So here are more details and updates:
Venue: CD field behind AFPD building. (Please refer to attached map)
Timing:
0815: Registration
0830: Briefing
0845: Photo taking
0915: Comp start
The contest will be around 4hrs or so with 5 or 6 rounds. There will be two groups.
Tasks will only be known on day of contest and there will be no dropped rounds.
We are lucky to have prizes sponsored by APAC Hobby and "Joe Yap Industries"
Partnering will be done lucky draw style, with top seeds (based on Fr3aK League standings) partnering newcomers and lower seeds (based on Fr3aK League standings). In the event that there is an odd number of participants, I will be roped in as a timer.
Please, put down your names here if you are interested to join so that we can save some time during contest day.
Will update more soon. Cheers.

Alulas, RC hand launch gliders (javelin style) and other unpowered gliders under 1.2m also welcomed. If it can be hand launched, come over to join the fun. If you don't have any mini dlgs, just come over and join the fun and learn more about them. See how one charge of a 350mah 1s/2s battery can give you around an hour of solid flying.
Lots of prizes to be won generously donated by APAC Hobby and Joe Yap.
Don't forget to list down your name, PM me your contact number if you want me to send any updates or reminders.
Cheers,
AdnanTake what you've got and fly with it - Jim Henson

Thanks to all who showed up for the event. It was indeed really fun.
For those of you out there who always wanted to try DLG flying but hesitated, I would encourage all of you to start off by picking up a mini DLG, which are far more affordable than the 1.5m contest birds. We will try to organise more of these events in the future so that more people can join in the fun.

Congrats to Joe for being our first dragonfly class contest winner. But the biggest winner for the day has gotta be Sherwin with his lucky draw prize and his whatever-place prize hehe.
I was the contest director for the contest and did not take part in thjs contest but seeing how it was mostly pilot skill and a bit of luck and not the plane that made the difference makes me wanna pick up a mini dlg myself.Take what you've got and fly with it - Jim Henson
