    PFW flyers

    Fellow PFW flyers

For 2 days in row, the police have been called upon due to flyers flying high KV planes at PFW. Be it EDF, flying wing or hotliners, please reframe from flying these planes too early in the morning.

I notice today a number of heavy vehicle was booked by TP. Thankfully I hope non of the members were book.

Wow, they really must be pretty loud to irritate the residents so.

However it just takes 1 phone call, so I guess there must be only 1 resident there that is irritated enough to dial 999.

What time did the police arrive?

This evening there were 3-4 wings in the air at the same time. They were chasing each other.
It is nice to watch but I can sense the fear in some of the public who stopped by to watch.
No matter how seasoned a flyer is, all it takes is a glitch upon inbound low pass, the entire wing with that velocity may cause more physical injury than any ignorant flyer can imagine.
Pls spare a thought for others if you don't care about safety of yourself.
      PFW is never like before.

On Saturday a resident came down around 7:30 in her PJ and the police came around 8. I was not there on Sunday, but some brother told me the police came again.

The moral of this issue is to be considerate for the residents around those blocks. To many of us flyers, these high KV many not sound very loud but sound travel upward and the resonance bouncing off the block can be irritating.

Please give your cooperation to this matter.

I reached at 7.15am. The EDF was already in the air. The resident came down before 8am, she was looking very tired with hair all messed, and she has all my sympathy.
The police came later one before 9am. I gave them my contacts as they need to get their job done and message passed. The policeman was very polite and friendly. He said a complaint was made for the noise generated at PFW.
          Rest you guys know.

And guess what? When the police came, one of the GRC members, the chairman if I'm not wrong, was also present.

..sad.... so I will not be surprised to see the sign board again if we don do something about this now. although i don fly much at this field... i still like to drop by to chat with my friends and watch the planes...

i also realized more flying wings & fast planes..... we either stop flying high noise plane so early (maybe not before 8.30am...just a suggestion) or we wait for someone to put up the sign again......
After so many years, I am still a beginner

Hope those flyers are not from our regular PFW members. Otherwise the GRC members will be very disappointed.

for those who have no consideration for the whole RC community. I suggest you join some other activities. Join some social work and learn what it is to be civic minded!!!

The gentleman who flew his EDF at 7am last Saturday morning is not a regular flyer of PFW. As far as I know, all regular FPW flyers do not fly their high KV or EDF or Pusher early in the morning. I for myself will only fly after 9am. I hope all regular PFW flyers will take it up upon ourselves to remind new-comers not to fly such planes too early in the morning.

Why shame the or shun the guy instead of educating him?
