how to get to that spot?

    Hi all,

As i was heading towards ECP, exiting from Marina South area around 6 in the evening today..I came across this wide open field with people flying aeroplanes...i was like WOooww!!!! hehehee...but too bad couldn't watch the planes in action as i had to watch the oncoming cars instead...Hmmm...saw a couple of cars parked on the field..i was wondering....how do you drive to that spot??? Get in from where?

    pls enlighten.

    Meh! meh! meh!

Any vvti engine inside ur car???

To get to the field, u have to exit Marina South towards ECP Changi Airport. Along the slip rd, there is a construction site. Juz drive into the site n follow the dirt track n u r there!!!

I think that track is a bit rocky...

So, if cannot make it, then get boyfriend/husband/unfortunate male friend to push the car...
      I can haz diving?

Alternately, u can go to other flying fields to watch/interact with them. Bring your boyfriend/husband/girlfriends together also can.

sat was my first time there.
got the location of the place on a street directory map. here

basically. from the marina bay mrt, head towards the ECP towards changi but instead of following the bend into the ECP you drive straight into a construction site where the star is located on the map which i linked for you to see. thats basically it. ask the others here who know better. i've only been there once.

          hope this helps!

i think this map with the star closer to the road will be clearer. there is a huge sign at the entrance of the construction site which says something about welcome to dunno what grand prix.

Nope not at the moment they won't stop u...maybe when the place developing in few month's time then it will be blocked. Basically it is a nice place to fly. Hmmm...one question...i remember passing the same spot at nite once long time ago..and saw some IFOs around...not sure if i remember it correctly. Does anyone still fly the coloured "fireflies" there at nite? if so, when?? it will really be a fascinating sight to see them in action at nite, with the skyline of the marina area as backdrop... wow....

                          sorrie for the many questions..:P
