SAF buying F-15 Eagles soon.

Heard from the news that SAF is going to get the F-15 eagle very soon as another part of new menber for RSAF can't wait to see the real thing here in Singapore next time.

Remembering back in 1991~1992 while I was still schooling in STI (now known as ITE MacPherson) Had seen those US F-15s approaching Paya Lebar airbase. They'll usually do a fly pass on the runway in formation then one by one they'll turn & do their final approach for landing. The view from my 10th storey building was as close as I can see the formation flying. Very nice...

Glad that we are opting for the more advance version rather than the A,B,or C version which was sold to Arab, Iraq & Japan...
The thrust ratio is very high for this plane.
The onie downside is the price tag. Juz imagine a plane that cost perhaps almost 2 F-16s. Still, I like this plane Simply nice...

but its the F-15T version rather than the E the US using..
surely give us the 'at least 10yr old technology' kind of software n stuff.. then leave it to ST n DSO to figure out how to upgrade it.

remember my lecturer said last time the new F16s come in, the technicians see the maintenance manual n couldn't find some parts that were listed inside.... the US removed it before selling it to us..

something like that...

it is officially designated the f15T, the most advanced in the world, as claimed by the americans. its a special version just for singapore.

yup double seat just like the f15e. i guess there will be more advanced radar and some stuff for singapore to put in. maybe when its time to eject,the computer will say "ZHAO NOW ZHAO!"

Wah if all the RSAF pilot know that the new F-15T Eagle using Singlish technology on the F-15T Eagle they will be a laughing stock for the whole things man...............

I think the SG version of F-15T will be fitted with the following items as according to the tradition of sg. Which make it the most advance jet in the world.

1. SWD, to limit the top speed of the plane.

2. A electronic log book, to record the destination, distance travel and the signature for the air commander to sign.

3. ERP IU, in case need to fly into CBD during weekday. Or flying along the north south route before 8pm.

4. to eject, you need to break the glass cover and pull the handle. Printed on the glass cover is this "Fine $25,000,000 if misused".
