            Still remember the Casio VL-1?

            (From Wikipedia)
The VL-1 was the first instrument of Casio's VL-Tone product line, and is sometimes referred to as the VL-Tone. It combined a calculator, synthesizer, and sequencer. Released in 1980 and selling for around $150, the VL-1 is notable for its kitsch value among electronic musicians, due to its cheap construction and its unrealistic, uniquely low-fidelity sounds.
30 years and more later, Casio returns with their XW-P1 and XW-G1 synthesizers. Here's a demo of the XW-P1.

Folks who are good at DIY have so much to tinker. MI's Anushri for example below.

Great to know you Lockheed! do you happen to make music full-time? I too have a JX-8P with PG800 among others. I was not privileged to have too many synths earlier so my gear tend to be more recent acquisitions. Please join us at FB Group

Perhaps one day touch screen becomes viable for full and precise music playback/production.
