    SIA SQ-006 full blackbox recording

Managed to got it by chance over the net ...

    October 31, 2000
    Taipei, Taiwan
    Singapore Airlines, Flight 006
    Boeing B-747-412
    9V-SPK

Weather conditions at the time were extremely poor due to typhoon Xiang Sane. A NOTAM issued on Aug 31, 2000 indicated that Runway 05R was closed due to construction between Sep 13 and Nov 22. After reaching the end of Taxiway NP, the plane turned onto Taxiway N1 and then made a 180-degree turn onto Runway 05R and began its takeoff roll. Approximately 3.5 seconds after reaching V1, the aircraft hit construction equipment on the runway, crashed back to the ground, broke up and burst into flames. The pilot attempted to take off from a closed runway. Eighty-three of 179 aboard killed.

that's the bad thing about being a pilot, mistakes made, either by yourself or by others will end up in you killing many ppl and taking the blame for life. no one ever cares about the miracles when captains bring back passengers after emergancies. only the dead are remembered.

maybe that's one of the reason why they are handsomely paid... heavy responsibilities comes in a big reward

May I ask which website you get the transcript from. I am very very interested. Thanks and cheers

(PS. Bankers and AOs in govt are defintely paid much more "handsomely" than pilots)

U can say that it`s either the pilots or the weather that cause this.. The tower did tell them to taxi at ZERO FIVE LEFT and they themselve also knew that they should go to ZERO FIVE LEFT but in the end.... Talk so much end up in XERO FIVE RIGHT...
