    AeroFest 2011

    Date of event: 23rd Febuaray 2010



    Dear all,

    Aerofest is one of the annual major programme organized by Nanyang Technological University Aerospace Society in a bid to promote the RC flying scene in Singapore.
    This year, we are opening to the public to visit our event and also to give us feedback in ways to improve our event.

    We are also appealing to RC flyers to register to fly at our flying field within the school during the event to build up the atmosphere of the event. We welcome helicopters, planes, gliders, be it electric or nitro, beginner or veteran to join us during this event. We hope to get about 20 fliers to register for our event. In order to make this more attractive, we have sourced for sponsors to give our registered fliers goodies bags, which consists of Cash vouchers from Singapore Hobbies and other sponsored items. We are also giving out 3 prizes to the top 3 fun fliers for the event, which are cash vouchers of $50, $30, $20 for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively from Singapore Hobbies as well.

    Registration Informtion

    There will be no registration fee.
    Deadline will be 12nd February 2011.
    All the registered fun fliers will be entitled one goodies bags and a chance to win prizes as the top 3 fun flier of the event.

    This is to facilitate the logistic team for their advance planning for AeroFest 2011. We hope to see your registration entry soon.

    Itinerary

    0900 hours - Setting up of the event location and preparing for the Aeromodelling competition

    1100 hours - Grand opening ceremony by our Guest of Honor

    1130 hours - Commencement of our Airshow by fun fliers and professional RC pilots

    1400 hours - Videos googles (FPV) tryouts for a pilot's experience
    - Buddy system for visitors a chance to fly a plane

    1600 hours - Prize giving and Lucky Draw

    1630 hours - End of event

          If you are taking public transport,
          you can either alight at Boon Lay Station and take bus 179
          or alight at Pioneer Station and take the free shuttle bus to NTU

              As for FPV tryout, not to worry we will try to clear with the relevant authorities about our event. The maximum distance we will go is within line of sight because the googles will be with someone not flying the plane.

              if all fails, we may be doing static display, installing it on 3d planes, RC car, which will be confirmed at a later date.

                      Dear all, we will be having our Aerofest 2011 next wednesday on 23rd Feb 2011. Do pop-by and visit when you are free, or join us for flying on that day. For registered flyers we will be giving them goodies bags, which consists of $20 Cash vouchers from Singapore Hobbies and other sponsored items.                       Time of flying will be around 1pm to 3pm. Everyone is welcome to join. Even if you are learning, we do welcome you to come down and share some pointers with us. Thank you.

                              Is it possible to host the event on weekdays and weekends as well?
                              If it is host on weekends as well, a lot of ppl will attend. The Singapore Poly team may able to show us their works as well
