      See here : http://www.ns.sg/nsPortal/appmanager...nsPortal_NSREG

      Apply for Early Enlistment
Though all male Singaporeans and Permanent Residents will be enlisted for full-time National Service (NSF) upon reaching the age of 18 years, those who are at least 16 and a half years old and wish to be enlisted earlier may do so under the Voluntary Early Enlistment Scheme (VEES). However, they have to obtain their parents' consent and be medically and physically fit.

If you are above 16 and a half years old and wish to be enlisted for full-time National Service before reaching 18 years old, you may apply for VEES as follows:

-Download and print a copy of the VEES application form from NS Portal under Pre-enlistee-forms-download. You may also contact NS Call Centre at telephone number 1800-3676767 for any assistance.

-Send the duly completed form to CMPB by post at the following address:

      Central Manpower Base
      3 Depot Road
      #02-09
      SINGAPORE 109680

Upon receipt of your application, CMPB will reply to you for necessary follow-up.

Hope you don't mind me diverting from the subject matter, although it is kind of related.

You wanna wait until your "O" level results is out, first. See if you qualify for JC, Poly, ITE or whatever. It is a lot harder to go back to the books after a long break, seriously. It takes a lot of discipline.

Choose this option only if you are planning to go overseas for further studies. This option is only good for those people with such intention, for they will not face disruption.

With what the world is now, I think the higher education will help greatly. Be it JC, Poly, ITE, uni....

Hope you give this matter a serious thought.... Now, if you have greater plan, then I'm sorry for jumping the gun.

          Cheers.
