Spore Custom limits $50

Taken form another forum.. I was dumbfounded by this too. Didn't know Singapore got this rule...

A friend of mine went JB for a day shopping trip recently & was stopped by the Spore custom police.
He asked how much my friend spent in total (about RM200 she carried her own bag almost full and one recycled bag with 3/4 full) & said goods exceed limits would need to declare & can only be brought into Spore with payment of GST! OH MY GOD! 1st time encounter such incident!

My friend thought the officer must be kidding but when she is back in Spore, she goggle & check it out.
Surprisingly, the $50 limit for bringing goods into Spore is true...

yeah... but normally if u drive car in... inside got like 5 ppl? the whole boot full of stuff also nvm de... but gt limit de larhx... dun inside u put all cooking oil then comfirm tio tax de... btw going into malaysia or thailand via car next time u may want to take note of the food you bring in...especially raw ones...
