Bro pls note those face mask is to minimise the person wearing it from spreading germs via his nose and mouth.
Only only way to effectively prevent yourself from getting airborne virus is via those gas mask and even that is not 100% safe depending on the air tightness and cannister used.
Best way is to stay away from crowded places in event of any outbreak.
Most virus die when away from host for too long. That is why if you have flu, and you wear a facemask, high chance the virus gets stuck only mask when you sneeze thus preventing it from getting airborne.
Not very well explained but hope you understand.
No need to rush for facemask. In real pandemic I am very sure facemask will be made available to everyone who needs it.
