Pls be informed that Interest rates for ALL banks have already increase to a shocking percent rate of :

7yrs & Below - 2.2%(Old Rate) , 2.45% - 2.5%(Current Rate)
7yrs & Above - 2.45%(Old Rate) , 2.75 - 2.8%(Current Rate)

Above mentioned rates are based on Brand New Parellel Import Cars.
Those interested in getting a 2nd hand or COE cars, Pls be revised that the interest rates are not similar to those above . Same goes for Commerical Vehicles.

Afternoon to You! Well, Just wanna check with you.. whether you have approach any dealers or Land Transport Authorities ???

I'm not very confident on this.. but i can say, YES..
I have seen only 1-2 on the roads.

Being a Passionate Car Lover,
Always curious & always "Hungry" to know more,
I did make a revelant check with some local exporters.
(At that time i was only 1yrs++ in Car Trade)
They told me that it can be done but in a very profound manner.
You will need to get your car documents ready,

*FULL ORIGINAL SETS with the relevant authority stamps & signatures deem necessary.. from the Country you wish to ship the car to Singapore.

Upon reaching Singapore,
You need to produce those documents, not a single document/stamps/signatures missing.
The LTA will scan through the documents while your car will be temporary seized & kept in their warehouse.
Once approved, Singapore Documents will be issued to you & need to pay a conversion fee & convert your car to the right hand drive on your own expense.
Meaning you pay for two conversions & local COE + Road Tax & Insurance.
I think you will be given a grace period of one month or 2weeks to convert.

But in the mean time while arranging a workshop yourself or by LTA's Authorized, You can drive the car around.

I don't know if it's correct. Cos i got this info about 5yrs back.
Maybe you should check with LTA.
One thing i'm sure is.. There's alot of Money involve & if your car not approved in Singapore :na , You have to ship back within a period & pay yourself!
I won't advise you to bring over!!!!

troublemsome... i guess i wont bring it over, i was kinda asking in a way that is it possible to bring it for a visit , like a couple of weeks... i wounldn't change the steering though, cuz its for a short time... hhmm... is there HUMMERs or Cadillacs in SG? wondering, cuz i'am passionate about American cars... hehe...

I have ever seen a maroon bmw 3 series with a left hand drive stick paste on its back side. The driver was an ang mo.


I was told only diplomate's car then can have left hand drive.


The car plate was normal SG number.


Go figure that out!!!

Cadillacs yes .. Hummers , haven't seen any though..

Hmm... seriously.. no offence...
There's two brands i normally would advise not to buy ...
Which is Hyundai & Kia. Their car price & value drop damn fast ..
Now you buy at 44k next moment you see .. market people selling at 35k .
I mean it's really cheap & thus irrisistable right ?
But try & look at it for long term .. as buying a car is a long time commitment.
Personally i feel that the car bodies for korean made is very "soft" & fuel consumption is bad.

For Diplomate's car .. The number plate should be S 1234 CD ... how can it be normal SG plate ????? I'm curious again ....
