RC Land Sailing

Hi,

During Monsoon month we always complaint about strong wind which makes RC Heli and Airplane flying difficult.

Why don't turn the Windy condition to our Advantage and Prepare ourselves for the new Monsoon wind end of Year.

We can start to search up and built this LandSail, we do have used Wheels from In-line skates, Pieces of Aluminium Bars etc, use servos and electronics.

Let's start this thread and hopefully some one who has experience can lead and conribute.

RC Land Sailing

Hi,
check out the Singular Model at www.robosailor.com, just a side distraction.
The rc LandSail's sail looks like some kind of film paper, ribstop does not look neat, does anyone, especially those who sails, knows where to buy the 'Material in Singapore'

Cannot tahan....hand itchy liao...this is wat i have after 5 hours of work this evening...

The basic frame is cut made from balsa, 1/8" lite ply and two length of dowel left over from my boat project.

I use 1.4 L/W ratio as suggest by http://www.rclandsailing.com/design.html. Just wana make a small model for experiment... ...Length 53cm, Width 38cm.

A simple steering for front gear.

All the electronic just tied to frame with rubber band. The CG is just infront of the sail servo.
