Guys maybe lets share some of our bad experience on Those petrol station Car wash station. so can save our $6.

Let Me start

.Esso Mobill at pasir ris along ellias road.
-15sec to wash ALL MY 4 rim.
- uses the same sponge to wash my rim and car body
-lazy worker.
-car still wet after drying.
(enough say, if you wan to boil your blood that day, Go try it.)

I'll say. I don't expect too much if I have to pay $6 to wash my car. BTW, these car wash stations used to be Autowash which uses the same gigantic brushes car after car, and which many complained that they scratches your car. It didn't do a better job than now anyway.

agreed. sometimes my car can go up to a mth without washing. just to show u how lazy i am. but i wouldnt mind paying 6 bucks for them to wash my car. even if in my opinion it wasnt a good job. i even buy some drinks and chips for them cause i feel 6 bucks is too little for the tiring job they done. if i'm in a rush, i'll just pay 8 bucks if i didnt buy buy any tidbits for them. sometimes we spend more on other things so i wouldnt mind just tipping them some of my loose change...

15 sec for 4 rims is still ok..
just imagine if they washed the whole car in 15 sec?

im not sure what is accepted time for washup in the station..

anyway.. can u recommend good car wash station?

in 4 yrs owning a car.. only once i wash up in the station.. went there during one of the eve holiday... before 1 packet of cracker finished (shared by 5) the wash was over... maybe coz alot of car queueing for a wash..

but nevertheless, my kids really enjoy themselves inside the car while it being washed..
they did missed a spot here and there.. so after that, i DIY

Try the shell station in Geylang.Best so far, The guy will walk around your car after he wash. If he spot any unclean spot he will take the affort to take a small bucket, with soap and clean that spot.

actually ah i beg to differ ........u can cheap and good in BOLEH land......every time went up north on way back would pass by SINGGAH SELALU........ 10RM includes dashboard shine...........

In singapore the best i have been is actually at that esso TS MENTIONED sorry ya i only based on my experience.........The worst is at Yishun Chongpang the one that is nearer to Northpoint.....once washed there and 1 big scratch on my roof as they forgot to put the sponge on their squeeky thingy....... made them polish my entire roof lo.........but this was my previous ride........

Maybe you all should start washing your own car before complaining about $6 car wash service.

I take 1 hr just to clean the outside of my car, and another 1 hr to apply wax and 1/2 to wipe the wax off after it dries.

Then it's time to vacuum the insides which can take another 1 hr. After that, it's time to wipe and clean the uphoistery, dashboard for another 1/2 hour

Cleaning a car is a whole day affair for me. But I wouldn't have it any other way such as paying someone to clean it for me. For me, cleaning my own car is a personal affair.

last time i use to do that too. when the car is new and i am still on fire
but after here scratch there scratch. slowy i gave up.

well...can't expect much from them.
but, I do agree that they should not use the same sponge for the rim and body.

the worst experience I had was at Tampines Caltex. Instead of rinsing the car first to wash away the dirt, they straight away apply the shampoo and do the washing.... + using the same sponge all out....

I will never wash my car there again...
