what bit size did you use, step % and speed ?
was it a linear cut path or spiral ?
am thinking of making one using clear 4mm acrylic,
not sure if the result will be good.

bit use

i use 1mm ball nose and step over of 15% and linear feed of 1500mm/min and take about 3hour for a size of 100mm x 100mm size

how to generate the 3d design from a picture?

its a 2.5d.

dark color, lighter cut,
light color, deeper cut.

there are some demo in the net,
bmp2cnc is one i still can remember.
