ahhh I was there too... 1 road march got cut short, and 24km road march was also cancelled... Haha saw the ship carrying one of the elephant too.

for the other 'bits'. While i was there, my buddy complained bed shaking too.. I sleep on lower deck, so i didn't know. (nay dun think crocket, chargable offense to 'shake') haha

also, on another day, we were barred from returning to camp after a field exercise. We sat in the training shack for afew hours, not knowing why. Finally when we were allowed to go in, we saw a group of priest/monk etc from all the religion rep walking out....

Later that night we were told bc of all the events in another platoon's bunk, those folks were invited in to do some blessings...

ohh.. And there was also a cookhouse fire wuring my stay. 3 mths, but memoriable and eventful

    Echo coy.

Did my BMT in Sept 89, at Camp 3 Gryphon Company. Nothing strange happened, but was told to stay off field behind camp due to some soil virus/bacteria or something.

          You were there too?
Really have to thank those elephants. Ya, route march was cancelled and bayonet fighting also cancelled. I think battle innoculation also cancel. The elephants were lucky stars for us.

I remember during one of the field deployment, security post alerted me that four persons where spotted near to the perimeter of the deployment. I send out two sections to search for them. Couldn't find them.

So, decided to launch a dawn attack on the other platoon. During the attack, one soldier started crying out loudly while we were charging down the other platoon's base. Imagine we were doing a run down on the other platoon and this guy just stood there and cried!
We thought he was badly hurt as he did not respond to our calling and shouting.
So, no choice, we quickly form a perimeter around him to "secure" him and find out what went wrong... Finally he spoke, "the four things that we were chasing last night did not have legs.!" Damm!!!

during that period, spooky things happened outside camp and inside camp.... Maybe it is just during that time of the year.

The soil disease I came across on...
I remember she had a hard time. (yar... not typo... a female solder)

and after a long long while in hospital and sick bay.. when she got over it..
but was given a note that goes something like "the disease will not go away, remember to tell the doctor that you were suffering from this m%%%%%% disease as it may re-occured."

that why... I wear water proof boots to the field.

Art, is the following motto still there in G25 when you were there?

                            Do it good,
                            Do it once.
                            Mind over matters,
                            It's all up here (brain).

The PS at that time keep drilling us that motto. We are also not allowed to 'sing-a-sxxg', we are only allowed to 'sing-a-tune' cos he's surname is 'sxxg'.

I find the theory of the stomach exploding because he drank water to be far fetch. We are made up of tissues not a fixed form, can contract and expand readily.
