WTF is wrong with kids nowadays? (Sly bashing)

Nothing to do.. was watching the Ch8 charity show..
And then when Sly came out, all of them screaming and shouting stuffs..

IMHO, he can't sing as well as Taufik, he looks juz like ur regular bengz..
And even his rendition of An Jing is also so so only lor..
Even i think we got better looking guys than him in Team DH lor!
So WTF is wrong with the kids nowadays??
Not only kids, i heard some adults are even crazy over him!!

I mean, why can't they go for the mainstream idols like
Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, etc?!
Who ACTUALLY look good and can sing well??

Err.. any Sly fans here to defend him??

And I didn't follow the idol series..

but I did hear his English songs during 1 or 2 of the episodes... they were

On the other hand.. when I heard him singing the Mandarin song yesterday......
yup.. he certainly has class in his Mandarin songs...

I won't be surprise that he will do much better than Taufik in CD sales ... in particular.. the Mandarin market is so much easier to penetrate than the English market..

Give that guy a chance.(in the Mandarin song market...) .. don't judge him by his English songs..

Hi guys, I just had dinner with both Taufik and Sly a few weeks back and I photographed Taufik just last wednesday. Seeing them in person, up close and personal, i do sense strongly they have strong star potential. They are still young, must give them some time to shine. They stand a good chance to be tomorrow's Usher or Jay Chou... or unique singers in their own image. cheers.

Hi,
Let the Media, Commercial and PR industries do what they set up to create, as long as you are not gullible to their folly then it will not get you.
Speaking about Idol, is it not right just about time to have our own private 'Heli Idol' or 'Flying Idol' or 'Remote Control RC Idol" maybe Mr.Moderator can set some criteria ang get the aerodynamic going.

Good luck, for me it just plain self confessed dumb idol.

You have a point there. He might be able to sing in Chinese.

But have you seen him when he's confronted for an interview in Chinese? The last time I saw it he was blabbing 70% English. If he really is going to be a real "star", I'd suggest that he gets a manager or lawyer or what-have-you, to take his interviews.

Well.. I am certainly no one's fan... I listen to songs on radio... but I never bother to know who sing them.... hehehe...

The system in which Chinese is taught is abhorrently non
user-friendly. They teach words that are usually out of context.
