I will never ever eat at that S***hole, F****up place ever again...

I will make this simple:

Part 1

Last saturday i was there with my wife and auntie and bf.
Aunt and BF reach early and the waitress went by their table to ask if they wanted to order, they said, please hold on we are waiting for 2 more guests..

Fine

5 min later, she came again, still the two of them and she still asked if they wanted to order..

No water was served even when my aunt sounded like she was coughing out badly.. thats one strike

5 min later she comes again and this time we are still there so they say again
please hold on we are waiting for 2 more guests..

Then they had to request for a glass of water....

Finally we came and the waitress came to our table, i of course asked for 5 min to decide..

So she said ok but again no water was served...

NVM...

5 min she came again asked if we were ready and being a steak house, we had to choose the type of steak, the size of steak, the side dishes, the entree the sause etc.... you get what i am trying to say ??

well she said ok but only with a face longer than an mrt track ..

when we were finally ready, she took our orders ...
but failed to reconfirm and left without asking if we wanted to drinks..

and when my wife wanted to order the drinks, the waitress was more interested in collecting the menus and ignored my wife...

WTF?

i then asked for another server as well to see the manager ... oh yeah it was my aunts bf birthday so that screwed his dinner up real well..

and i know cos i worked there before
please man, its an american steakhouse

and that was only a small part of why their service was bad

then you should not assume everyone must behave at the same high standards you've set. was the food lousy? was the food spoilt? did anyone trip and split some food over you or your guests? basing on what you've described here, the waitress did not serve you water and took your orders in a hurry. hardly things i'd consider that would ruin a dinner. relax lah friend, people may not do their jobs 100% to your expectations but only you can choose whether to be pissed on such trivial matters...

very nice indeed... said sorry and retook all the orders and did a splendid job...

until the "assistant manager" peter came along...

hmm...I will not be happy if I meet such waitress..... likewise..I will surely complain about her "bad" attitude. In US, from my past visits, the level of service is so much better...maybe partly because we have to give tips.... the waitress will serve drinks (don need to ask for drink...fully auto..) and when I was not ready to order, she smile & told me to take my time.... encountered few times like that... so good attitude...

Its located at ochard parade hotel, just beside forum.
They have modestos + starbucks there too

Therefore, if you want to get good service, YOU MUST PAY... But then you can refuse to pay service charge, since the service is lousy and it doesn't go directly to the waiter anyway.

In the West, u can don pay service charge (in the form of tips)... but here... ... a bit tough lor...... I remember this issue came up in the newspaper long time ago......

Bros, Service in Singapore is not that bad lah.. Hence, should not pass any conclusion basing on one incident.. Yes.. Like what Brandon mention. How was the food?.. If the food are good, then I'll surely go back.. BUT as for the waitress.. Very simple.. If she did not respond to your request for water when ask very nicely in the first place, then just pull her back over to your table and give her a good dressing down. Hey, this is not being nasty ok, as the waitress have been rude in the first place.. And like the saying goes.. Birds of the same feather usually flocks together.. Hence, complaining to the manager will just result in respond like, We thank you for your feed back, and we'll look into it, and all these crabs..

For me.. if a waitress give me a bad day, then I'll surely will not want her to enjoy hers as well.
