Useful things you can do with a ducted fan...

Like...a notebook cooler! just planned and made everything in 2hours. simple and easy to make. I can't find any other notebook coolers in the market more 'windy' then mine, haha!. Works very well.. cool my laptop down in a matter of seconds.

An EDF55mm running on 4volts of electricity right off my camera adapter. I tried 12v and you can see the laptop cooler inflate significantly

Some disadvantage though.. if i run that for like 5hours straight my electricity bills will cost a bomb and its pretty noisy...

Btw, turbine notebook cooler anyone? Jk..

    I'll post somepics.

    Build it
    Fly it
    Crash it
    Fix it

Hover ..haha...You need 3kg of thrust to do that and it'll be the ultimate notebook cooler , anyway its brush motor.

Make four ducted fan one at each corner... then u can hover the laptop to u from ur living room to ur room when u r lazy...
        More than 3Kg thrust...

BTW brushed setup if run constantly over a period of time it will wear & tear... so it is gonna be an expensive cooler for u.

-_-''. With todays technology its very possible to make a radio control lappy hovering machine, haha! just that its pretty useless but awesome!

Anyway, snice is brush...i'll only use it when internal temperature reaches 55degreesC and above. There are programs that will keep track of my core temp.
