Pay Pal info req

Does anyone know or have a pay pal? How do you apply and how safe is it.

i am using it.. apply at www.paypal.com . it is run by ebay and as far as i know it is even safer than using ur cc to pay online. u also can claim 3 times a year if the item gets lost or is not as described..

so yea, i'll say it is good.

Yes it is safer than using your CC bcoz u r not giving your number away.

Correct me if I'm wrong. From a glace, the service is free? Only charges apply if you want to pay thru CC? If payment by bank account no charges?

I think it only applies to Bank accounts in US. Those outside of US still needs a CC.

So, is Jack correct to say that the payment mode is still CC and there's some charges. Sorry abt the q cos the paypal page also confuse after reading it. So my q for those who have use it:
1) payument is by CC= yes
2) charges apply = yes

it is free for sender/buyer.. the merchant is the one hit by charges

u can transfer funds into ur paypal now because it has a S$ bal now.. but there maybe some admin fee of maybe $2... i havent tried it, always financed using CC and there's is no charge over my side.

as a merchant though, when ppl pay me using their CC to finance their paypal, there is a fee of some %.

also when u want to xfer ur balance in paypal to ur local bank account, amts <$S200 will incur a fee if $1 or $2(cant remember exact).. thats abt all
