    M1 'unlimited' broadband

I was about to get the so called 'unlimited' m1 broadband to go truly mobile and came across these threads:

    http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/blog/gi...1973036,00.htm

    http://forums.hardwarezone.com/showthread.php?t=1473773

Seem more like volume base. Will wait till they change their T&C to be more fair to us consumer before subscripting to their BB. Hope will help those who are intending to get this BB from M1 to without reading their T&C.

As long as there are M1 network coverage, you are able to access internet.

Its kind of cool gadget cos you are not restrict to surf only at "hotspot"

                Cheers

I'm using the new M1 Broadband service now.

What I find is that the speed sucks. It is way too slow.

Although the connection speed from the 3G modem to M1 is 3.6Mbps, the actual download speed from the various internet websites is around 200kbps.
Can't view a proper video streaming from movie sites..

My guess is that their internet pipe is too small and they are over selling the bandwidth to the users. Perhaps have to wait for M1 to get to speed and catch up with Singnet or Starhub...

I feel only : 1) let them have sometime to fine tunning 2) at least they are first BB anywhere not only at home the whole singapore u can login. no hot spot no hard wire. of cause the speed will be slow. I am OK without download movice or video. reading mail n read DH for me is fine.

at least it is free now, at many hot spots.
macdonald's skynetglobal also free at the moment...

                        I would agree with Nic.

Use the Wireless@SG now since it's free and faster than M1 broadband.

I may consider to terminate the M1 broadband at the end of my 6 months contract if the service never improves.

Remember sometime back when our forum doing migration.... I was at downtown east ... trying to perform a 15mins task on my comp.

I had to spend 15mins hooking up a connection. Then use for 5mins and it prompted disconnection then limited connectivity

My 15mins job end up spending an hr

This is not the first classic case of me using outdoor surfing and facing limited connectivity or disruption. Sick and tired of it, thats put me in consideration of the M1 BB

It have been tested that most achieved 1/3 the download speed per advertised. But this 3.5G may not be that good as 3.75G or 4G that they are test it now.
