one of the reason coz (i think).. this hobby could only be afforded by working adult..
but nowadays most kid are well off and could enjoy this hobby eventually.
dont be surprise if they can afford 9ch tx..

Hi, don't forgot back in the eighties a 6 function Futaba TX Conquest cost nearly 400 bucks not counting the cost of the plane kit, engine ...ETC ETC .
Entry level to RC plane is around $700 to $1000 a sizeable chunk of our income. Not easy for any kids to start this hobby in those early days.
Today Futaba PCM TX and ARF plane cost much lesstoday. In addition ,daddy also getting richer with more disposable income....very fortunate for kids to have such a daddy.

then at the age of 15 & 16 im flying r/c plane and heli
im 16 now btw

Hi Loyn your time and my time at age 13 is different from now , I was catching spider and flying kites at age 13. Don't even have girl friend then...
