Hobby Shop in Thailand...

Hi All,

can anyone enlighten me on any hobby shops located in Bangkok, Thailand?

i was there few days before the coup, went up to this big shopping mall called, Central Square. approached the information counter and try my luck. with my limitation of Thai and the counter gal's limitation of English, she directed me to 4th floor.

Information counter gal: "remote control!!!! have have! you go 4th floor, big shop have remote control".

Oldman: "big cars, planes and helicopters?" (to be sure, coz i know that there's a 'Toy R Us' up there on the 6th)

Information counter gal: "yes yes... very BIG!!!"

happily going up on the lift and guess what i saw.......


A very big shop selling all kinds of electrical appliances with 'remote control' features.....

after this i got a chance to seek some information from a tour guide who speaks prefect mandarin. he told me that there is one at MBK and some over at Ban Mall, Chinatown. i will be there again so need to confirm and plan my time.

i went to OLEK hobby shop in Thailand, they sell Helis there, and some airplanes... i believe there isnt much things that you can't get at Rotor... but there were Painted Raptor conopies though, which looked really good...
