      Newpaper

As we are talking about oil prices, there is an article in yesterday's news paper that talk about how certain countries have benefitted from the rising pil prices.
The oil price is not directly link to demand. at certain stage, oil producing countries were cutting back on the supply.

Natural gas cars are not pratical, whereas hybrids are. Besides higher OMV and lower ARF.

I feel the govt is not really doing enough to encourage the use of hybrids, despite its claim of being pro-green. Perhaps when it hurts the bottom line, it becomes less urgent.

Of course there's still the arguement about diesel cars.
For some people it's important to show what they have, for others it's sufficient to know that they have it.

Honda Civic Hybrid cost $81k.. and it is full of gadgets.

However, there is absolutely no info on how long will those Nihm lasts... just look at the lifespan of our NiHms... replacing those NiHm every 1-2 years will really cost $$$$$$$$

Comparing it to a 1.8l civic, it is just a few k more.

But comparing it to a 1.6l car... it cost about $20k more.

side topic... any one knows any reliable workshop that repairs Ford cars? (using OEM parts is ok). Need to replace my brakes pads (quoted $180) and timing belt (quoted $900).
            huh

you were quoted $900 for the timing belt? how many timing belt do you have in the car?
                Try other mechanics la...
$180 for the brake pad also pretty ex.

Have you tried those big companies? don't be surprised if they offer you a good package.
