We dont own these planes lah. SG is on frenly terms wif many countries, so once in a while these jets will stop over for refuelling or exercise wif our boys here??? I'm not too sure too.

I've seen the sea hawk, french dont know which naval heli n british dont know which naval heli in SG flying around before. Right in front of my eyes!!!

We are considered late in purchasing good military aircraft.

Taiwan already using Apache in their squadron (If I not wrong). Maybe Taiwan and Singapore are the same where it is small country and therefore helicopter is more suitable.

Malaysia already have F/A-18 Hornet (and so do they crash a few... Lousy pilot! )

If u r frenly wif Uncle Sam, u get everything wif the lastest hardware.

                      Not only Taiwan, look around.

I dont wish to comment more on tis, too sensitive topic to go into.

BTW, Taiwan got Apache which is not sensitive because it is shown in Discovery Channel.

EDIT: To SysOps. If you think my post content here is sensitive, you can go ahead and delete it.

wah then yesterday must be a very noisy day. i wondered how noisy will this apache be? Louder than this chinook?

Apache should be quieter than Chinook and more quite than UH-1 Huey. Why?
Apache has "sweep back" at the end/tip of the rotor blades. That help to reduce the shock wave of the rotor blades. Huey is noisy because it has normal rotor blades and it is 2 rotor blades.

If I remember correctly that I read from Jane's info, Apache was design to be quite in order to "stalk" the enemy. They have the feature of spinning the rotor blades slower than normal but with higher pitch. That is why it is more than 3 blades and with sweep back tips.
