Use a old lawn mower engine bro! As for gears, try something from a mountain bike? Just an idea...

      Cheers...

well, change the sprocket to motorbike grade ones! a 16/40 teeth difference is good.

If u want a small engine, I have a 90cc engine from a petrol bike I can let u have for a small price.

              Cheers man...

you all sound like a PRO! i heard that a new law was passed that electric bicycle on the pavement cannot go over 10 km/h, or will get caought and will fine... so i think the 90cc engine will be too fast... does anyone know how to build a pedal one? so no need to be scared of getting caught... i may also add in the 90cc engine, so in times of ugency, can use engine without sweating. den how to lock the kart up?

                    go-kart...

Hmmm, that is a hard one bro. Well, if you have the cash, the best engine would be from one of those mini-bikes. And sorry to say this, but if you are going to ride it on the pavement, it'd just be silly! You'd be better of at car park rallies!
Well, a simple tubing frame will do. I built a go-kart years back in England. But it was what we called a "soap box racer" which is just a simple frame made of word.
It is a simple wooden T frame with a wooden box as a driver's compartment. the front wheels are controled by your legs, like rudder pedals on an aircraft. or by a rope, like a chariot.
Ha ha, anyway, it was like 15 years ago! And if you are going to seriously make this, a wielding torch and metal working equipment is a must!!!

                    Cheers man...

go multi-storey carpark 4th floor then challenge drifting , see who better at drifting like initial D arcade stage 2 last map, drifting down or up hill that means you dont know how to build the steering wheel type ah?

                        go kart.

got two ways, but a little confusing to build from scratch and etc. Go toy'r'us. Got go-karts there....

                        Cheers...

                            ...

go and see... walk around toys'r'us. Anyway, I doubt it is a good idea to "race" it around a multi storey carpark...

                            Cheers...

I am not sure if the skateboard built by me in 1990 could be of any help. I used a 22cc gasoline with centrifugal clutch.

It could travel about 25 to 35km/h.

Steering with legs, throttle original grass cutter setup.
